The mission of the Nazarene Well House is to provide
temporary housing
accommodations and moral and spiritual support when requested, to medical
treatment recipients and their families while visiting the Rochester, MN
area.
Rochester, MN is the home of the world famous Mayo Clinic
and its hospitals.
The Nazarene Well House is designed to be a
place of rest and relaxation.
The NWH is intended to be more than just basic lodging, but rather a place
of hospitality, ministry, and overall wellness - both physical and
spiritual.
The Nazarene Well House has been recognized by the
U.S. Government as
a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The NWH has also been recognized
by the General Church as a Nazarene
Compassionate Ministry.
Currently, the NWH is in a reconstruction phase
and is expected to
open in mid 2008. See Floor Plans
for more details.
KEY PASSAGE FOR THE NWH MINISTRY:
For I was
hungry and you gave me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you invited me in,
I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to visit me.
"Then the righteous will answer him,
'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you,
or thirsty and give you something to drink?
When did we see you a stranger and invite you in,
or needing clothes and clothe you?
When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'
"The King will reply,
'I tell you the truth, whatever you did
for one of the least of these brothers of mine,
you did for me.'
Matthew 25:35-40
